Ruston Way 5K

Posted: May 11, 2012 in Races & Events

Ruston Way 5k: The flattest, fastest, most scenic 5K in Tacoma. There were several known runners hoping to break an American record on this course, and it’s also the Grand Opening of Ruston Way. Motivation: “Nobody can go back and start a New Beginning, but anyone can start today and make a New Ending.” It only takes ONE PERSON to give and ANOTHER to receive; over and over again.

Special note from Christine:
Dear Dock Street Runners – it was so amazing to volunteer at this race and see you prepare as a group, encourage each other and to see you perform with personal excellence and pride, I raise my hat in deep respect. Congratulations also to your founder Wenche Wahl for putting in a stunning performance by winning the Masters Woman event in such a respectable time of 22:21. She leads by inspiration, your fan Christine.

RACE RESULTS: Over 800 runners/walkers.
